100th Birthday SMITH (NEE THOMPSON) Kathleen (Kate) Thompson Born in Hull on 12 June 1922. Kate went to Estcourt Street School. Together with her sister Lily she worked in the Munitions factory at Barnbow, Leeds, during WW2. Kate married Frank Taylor in 1943 and had 3 children. After Frank's death in 1974 she married Walter Smith who died in Scarborough in 1998. Kate now resides in Prospect House Care Home at Swinefleet, where she is well cared for by the dedicated staff there, who arranged a lovely party for her for her 100th birthday. Thanks to them and all those friends and relatives who sent cards and messages. Val Meadowcroft
